Acknowledging the genius

Published on 11 March 2026 at 18:35

I think it’s about time we acknowledged my genius.

I’ve been going back through the edits for Addicted to You, and one particular chapter — the one where we officially welcome Helga to the stage — has genuinely had me laughing out loud. I think I even shocked myself at just how many emotions can fit into such a short space of text… even if I do say so myself.

So this is just a quick little post to say: I’m back on it.

Addicted to You was on hold for a while while I tried to get my life back into some sort of organised shape — work, personal life, and everything else in between. But the drive and the umph have well and truly returned.

Do not fear. I am just as scattered, discombobulated and NQR (not quite right, slightly too far left) as I was before. The difference is that this time I’m fully aware of it. I’ve embraced it as part of my charm.

Anyway, this means the release date announcement is coming soon. I’m aiming to have a solid date in the next couple of weeks.

And because life insists on keeping things interesting… I’m currently writing this from A&E.

So yes. Even hospitals can’t stop the momentum now.

Because stories like Darcy’s don’t come from perfect lives.

They come from messy ones.

Chaos might slow me down sometimes…

but it never shuts me up.
