I’ll admit, I have struggled to find the words to glorify the immense personal achievements accomplished by yours truly this year. It's a year that—for me personally—can quite frankly "do one."
As a writer (I even squirm in my chair when I say such things about myself. Me?! A writer! Get out of town!), I have had moments of suffocating self-doubt while working tirelessly to complete not just one, but two books following the story of Darcy—a girl gripped by the craving to be needed.
Today, I have finally found an ending to the second book, Addicted to You, that I hope will provide the reader comfort and a desire for more, without feeling conned out of a satisfactory conclusion. After serious consideration, I ended the story earlier than originally planned. Life has a way of running away from you. People can be cruel in the name of love, and the broken hearts of "villains" can lead them to destroy without prejudice—striking their secondary targets without even laying eyes on them—all in the name of "love."
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you all. I hope this time of year brings continued prosperity or the start of a new beginning filled with hope and happiness.
